Not only does Sri Lanka boast miles of beautiful golden sand palm fringed beaches to relax on, but also a magical combination of history, culture and a delightful array of scenery. All in one country you may experience breathtaking sightseeing while on tour, with mystic ancient cities, Buddhist temples, thick jungles, cool hill stations and tea plantations, teams of working elephants and those beautiful Indian Ocean beaches.

Day 1 Mon London / Colombo
Depart from Heathrow on Sri Lankan Airlines flight arriving the next day.
Day 2 Tue Mount Lavinia
On arrival transfer to the superior medium class Mount Lavinia for an overnight stay at this lovely colonial beachfront hotel.
Day 3 Wed Mt.Lavinia / Kitulgala / Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, leave for the south via Kitulgala where the film ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’ was filmed and you will have the chance to see the St Clair’s and Devon Waterfalls en route. Lunch in Kitulgala then the route takes you up into the scenic hills of Nuwara Eliya for overnight. Approx. 110 miles.
Day 4 Thu Nuwara Eliya / Kandy
After breakfast drive to Kandy. Enjoy the spectacular scenery including green tea plantations as well as visiting a tea estate en route to Kandy for lunch. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kandy including the Temple of the Tooth, Market Square and Upper Lake Drive. This evening enjoy a cultural show. Approx. 72 miles.
Day 5 Fri Kandy / Beach
Drive to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens where you will see tropical plants from all over the world. Continue to Pinnawela elephant orphanage where you can see baby elephants being bathed or fed. Lunch en route and thereafter continue to the Blue Oceanic hotel or Browns Beach hotel. Approx. 115 miles.
Day 6 Sat to Day 8 Mon Sri Lanka Beach
Time to relax and enjoy the welcoming Sri Lankan hospitality that awaits you.
Day 9 Tue Colombo / London
Departure on Sri Lankan Airlines flight arriving Heathrow later the same day or extend the stay at the beach. Alternatively, on day 8 Monday travel on to the Maldives.
